  • R. v. A. M.

    Drugs

    Client was charged with Possession for Purpose, Schedule 1, Possession of Proceeds, and two counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance in St. Catharines, Ontario. After identifying significant issues with the Information to Obtain and Search Warrant, Mr. Stubbs negotiated a withdrawal of all charges.

  • R. v. A.M.

    Drugs

    Client was charged with Trafficking, Schedule 1, in Toronto, Ontario. After conducting a multiple day Preliminary Inquiry, Client was discharged on all charges.

  • R. v. J.T.

    Robbery and Firearm

    Client was charged with five counts of Robbery and 3 counts of Use Imitation Firearm. Following a lengthy Preliminary Inquiry and prior to a Superior Court of Ontario trial, all charges wear discharged or withdrawn.

  • R. v. S. J.

    Sexual Assault

    Client was charged with Sexual Assault and Forcible Confinement. Matter involved allegations of a counselor assaulting his patient. Following 3 days of trial, client was found not guilty of all charges.

  • R. v. K. B.

    First Degree Homicide

    Client was charged with First Degree Murder. After a lengthy jury trial in the Superior Court of Ontario, Client was found not guilty

  • R. v. J. S. (Project RX)

    This case involved a massive gang project in which Client was charged with Possession of a Prohibited Firearm and Possession for the Purpose, Schedule 1. After 14 days of Preliminary Inquiry, Client resolved in the Superior Court of Ontario to one count of simple possession, Schedule 1, for a nominal fine. All other counts were discharged or withdrawn.

  • R. v. C.W.

    Aggravated Assault

    The client was charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and Weapons Dangerous. The allegations involved multiple stabbings to the Complainant. After five days of trial, the client was found not guilty and all charges were dismissed.

  • R. v. O. G.

    Drug and Firearm

    The client was charged with firearm and drug related offences. This case involved a loaded firearm found in a vehicle where the client was seated. After a multiple day trial, the client was found not guilty and all charges were dismissed.

  • R. v. M(M)

    Drink/Drug Driving

    Client was charged with fail or refuse breath sample. After one day of trial, crown offered client a plea to Careless Driving pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act. The criminal charge was withdrawn.

  • R. v. D(A)

    Drink/Drug Driving

    Client was charged with drinking and driving while operating a stolen vehicle. Mr. Stubbs negotiated a withdrawn of the stolen vehicle charge. Mr. Stubbs filed a Charter application raising Right to Counsel issue with respect to the drinking and driving charge. On the eve of trial, the crown offered a plea to Careless Driving pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act and the criminal charge was withdrawn.

  • R. v. B.C.

    Firearm

    The client was charged with Possession of Firearm, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Careless Storage of Firearm, and the like. Case involved a search warrant of a private residence. Mr. Stubbs negotiated a withdrawal of all charges prior to the preliminary inquiry.

  • R. v. V. Inc.

    Smoke Free Ontario

    The client was charged with selling Tobacco to an underage customer in contravention of the Smoke Free Ontario Act. After a multiple day trial, the corporate client was found not guilty and the charge was dismissed.
